Hi! My name is Chad Bates and this summer, I am filling the role of Media Relations Assistant with the Boise Hawks. I will be working on our media guide as well as various projects with the Media Relations/Marketing Manager, Kristen Nimmo. I accepted this position back in January after I met with Hawks management at the Baseball Winter Meetings in Indianapolis. I have also previously worked for the Indianapolis Indians as a Game Day Media Relations Assistant in the 2009 season. This is my first professional blog, so I am looking forward to the opportunity and challenge of maintaining one on a day-to-day basis.

Interests

I have a lot of hobbies. I enjoy watching sports, playing poker or other card games, and like many I am addicted to Call of Duty. I enjoying watching the History Channel and my favorite shows are “Pawn Stars” and “Justified”. When I am not working for the Hawks, you can find me at Best Buy selling in Home Theater or having fun with friends and family. I am always down for a good pint of beer or a good cup of tea. I have recently become addicted to Five Guys, Qdoba, and La Chapalla.
